  • In short
A custom-fit dome rooflight solution for every construction task

    Variants
Whether 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- or 5-skin vaulted dome rooflights, you can find an energetically optimal product for every construction task. Acrylic (PMMA), polycarbonate (PC), heatstop or PET-G materials are available in opal, clear,  sun protection or black (see Glazing tab). The combination of different high-quality materials creates an extremely variable product in terms of robustness and light entry.

    Economy
The construction of the ventilation frames for all cases are robust, compact, easy to retrofit and proven a million times over. The small volume of the PVC-profile guarantees low heat loss.

    Technology
The double hose seal in the ventilation frame improves the air tightness and the thermal insulation properties in the joint area between the dome and the upstand.

    Renovation
The mechanical fastening of the dome skins enables a simple, fast and inexpensive upgrade for an energetic renovation and/or replacement in case of damage.

    Energy efficiency
Metal upstands with an innovative, thermal bridge-free solution are an ideal supplement for energetic and creatively demanding daylight solutions.

  • Functions and sizes
Standard Dome Rooflights are available in various standard sizes and with different main functionalities:

    Fixed Dome Rooflights
The easiest and most economical way to fill a room with natural light is to use a fixed Dome Rooflight, which is the most simple variant.

    Venting Dome Rooflights
This comfort venting option is available with a huge variant of opening devices, allowing you to enjoy fresh air through your dome whenever you want to. The venting domes can be manually operated by crank handle or electric actuators that lift a dome by 300, 500 or 750 mm.

    SHEV Dome Rooflights
The task of smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems (SHEV) is to prevent personal injury and reduce damage to property. Pneumatical (CO2) and electrical (24V/48V/230V) systems are available with different functionalities and performances - each tested and certified according EN 12101-2. Full multifunctionality SHEV Dome Rooflights can be combined with electrical actuators for natural ventilation or be used as venting units.

    Roof Access
There are numerous reasons to enter a flat roof. A comfortable and safe way of accessing the roof can be through a Dome Rooflight. Roof Access devices for Dome Rooflights offer mechanical or electrical solutions that are invisible from the outside.

    Burglary-resistant
In case the government or your building owner requires a burglary-resistant building, our burglary-resistant dome rooflights are certified according to EN 1627:2011 and NEN 5096-2012+A1:2015: RC 2.

  • Product Details
Multi skin Dome Rooflights provide various thermal and sound insulation opportunities. The specific technical values can be found in the product leaflets.
    1-skin Dome Rooflights
If daylight is wanted and only protection against wind and rain is needed, a Dome Rooflight with only 1 skin is the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to achieve visibility and comfort.

    2-skin Dome Rooflights
A Dome Rooflight with 2 skins is the first step towards thermal insulation. The solutions is suitable for buildings without heating or a very low heating level.

    3-skin Dome Rooflights
Established as a industrial standard, Dome Rooflights with 3 skins deliver a sufficient thermal insulation with improved sound insulation performance.

    4-skin Dome Rooflights
The 4-skin Dome Rooflight is a good choice for public or residential buildings where the requirements to insulation and energy efficiency are higher.

    5-skin Dome Rooflights
In terms of insulation, the best available is the Dome Rooflight which has 5 skins with a performance close to a flat roof window made from glass but with less weight.

  • Glazing

Our standard Dome Rooflights come in different glazing options depending on your needs.

    Acrylic (PMMA)
UV-resistant, high-quality PMMA-skins are used as standard material for Dome Rooflights. By combining the colours, opal and clear, in different variations, it is possible to create a transparent or glare-free glazing.

    Sun protection (Heatstop)
A reduced heat transmission is obtained by modified outer PMMA-skins, which blocks the sunlight by means of reflective particles. This reduces the need of air conditioning systems.

    Dark top
Dark top glazing is suitable for buildings where no daylight is wanted, but plastic material is needed to fulfil the needs of fire protection regulations. With the black coloured outer PMMA sheets, there is no light entrance. However, smoke ventilation is available with or without the use of SHEV devices.

    Polycarbonate (PC)
Impact resistant PC skins are available if more robustness is required. Polycarbonate materials are considered indestructible and offer hail protection, burglary resistance and fall-through safety. Various combinations with PC and PMMA are available.

    Sun protection
A combination of robustness and reduced energy transmission is available with skins made from PC in a specific colour.
